Educational Programs

We are currently working on building the following programs:

  • Broadway Takeover
    • Broadway Takeover was successfully launched in the summer of 2020.  The six-week summer camp program brings notable Broadway performers to Wilmerding to work with high school students.  The mix of class time and rehearsal time culminated in a staged production of Into the Woods. Our faculty included Jenn Colella, Eva Noblezada, Ben Bogen, Lilli Cooper, Caitlin Kinunen, Heather Parcells, Taylor Louderman, Kara Lindsay, Christy Altomare, Ethan Slater, Christopher Stephens, Dee Thomasetta, Sarah Meahl, Jarrett Reiche, and Lindsey Brett Carothers. • East Hills Symphonic Winds
    • A community based symphonic winds orchestra will bring together musicians from Westinghouse Arts Academy and the greater community.  As a creative outlet for residents of the Turtle Creek Valley and Eastern Suburbs of Pittsburgh, EHSW will also provide a much-needed larger ensemble experience for students.

  • East Hills Community Choir
    • A community based choral ensemble will bring together musicians from Westinghouse Arts Academy and the greater community.  As a creative outlet for residents of the Turtle Creek Valley and Eastern Suburbs of Pittsburgh, EHCC will also provide a much-needed larger ensemble experience for students.

  • Westinghouse Players
    • A community based producing theatre company will bring together actors, and tech theatre students from Westinghouse Arts Academy and the greater community.  As a creative outlet for residents of the Turtle Creek Valley and Eastern Suburbs of Pittsburgh, WP will also provide a much-needed larger ensemble and production experience for students.

  • Artist-in-Residence
    • TCV Arts will provide Artist-in-Residence programs to local schools, as well as Homeschool and Cyber-School students.  Through a mix of school time and after school programs, we will provide local artists from their respective fields to schools for high quality supplemental arts education.

  • Community Arts Education
    • TCV Arts will provide arts education programs for adults and children in the community.  Visual/studio arts, music, and theatre will be included in developing programs for the community.
